Hello friends and loyal supporters!

Thanks to all those who made the trek out to Groton last month to catch me in Village Theatre Project's Almost, Maine.  We had a fantastic cast and crew, and it was a blast to work on.  No one comes to review things in Groton, so I don't have any press clips for you this time, but I did see lots of smiling faces in the audience, and that's what it's really all about.  Just two quick pieces of news today, so...

On with the announcements!

Now Playing

"Some Have Greatness Thrust Upon 'Em": My latest directing project, Twelfth Night with the MIT Shakespeare Ensemble, opened last night.  (Sorry to get you the news a day late, but those of you in the theater world know how ludicrously busy opening week can be!)

The students in the cast and on the crew have worked inspiringly hard.  The set is gorgeous, the costumes are of professional quality, and the show is really a lot of fun.  Plus, the tickets are cheap ($6 to $9) - what more could you ask for?

Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 8pm, for two weekends only (closing March 22), so don't delay.  Shows are in La Sala de Puerto Rico, in the MIT Student Center.  Check out the Shakespeare Ensemble website for additional info and to reserve tickets.

The Little Film That Could: I am excited to announce that On Broadway, the wonderful independent film I shot about the Boston Irish family who puts on a play in the back of a pub, has been picked up for a limited run in Boston-area theaters.  It will run for a minimum of two weeks starting tonight (just in time for St. Patrick's Day weekend!).  The film has already won major awards in several festivals in the U.S. and Ireland, and has been pretty much universally loved by audiences.  I'm so thrilled that now more people will get to see it.

The film opens Friday, March 14, at the following theaters:

Cameo Theater 1 & 2
Columbian Square - South Weymouth, MA 02190

Dedham Community Theatre
580 High St - Dedham, MA 02026

Sharon Cinema 8
700 South Main St - Sharon, MA 02067

Somerville Theatre
55 Davis Square - Somerville, MA 02144

West Newton Cinema
1296 Washington St - West Newton, MA 02465

And it will open Friday, March 28 at the following:

Opera House Cinema 3
19 Touro Street - Newport, RI 02840

Writer/director Dave McLaughlin and actor/producer Lance Greene are scheduled to host Q&A's opening weekend at Dedham Community Theater on Fri March 14th, Sharon Cinemas 8 on Sat March 15th, and Somerville Theater on Sun March 16th.  Dave and Lance have hinted that a few of the film's other stars (e.g. Joey McIntyre, Eliza Dushku, Mike O'Malley, Will Arnett, or Amy Poehler) may make appearances, too.  Remember, you can always stay up to date with showtimes & locations by going to the film's website: www.onbroadwaythemovie.com.

That's it for this edition.  Thanks for reading and thanks, as always, for your support!
